Filling Up the Train to Heaven Josh McDowell

Filling Up the Train to Heaven Josh McDowell  Bible Reading: 2 Peter 3:9-16  [The Lord] does not want anyone to perish,  so  he  is  giving more time for everyone to repent.  2  Peter  3:9 ''I'M REALLY not interested in hearing how special God thinks I am," Megan protested. "People who focus on themselves end up totally selfish. I can't see how thinking about me helps me glorify God and show the world how great he is." God wants you to see yourself like he sees you: lovable, valuable, and useful to him and to others. But why? Is it just to make you feel warm and fuzzy? Could he possibly want to feed your selfish side? No and no. God wants you totally convinced that you are loved and valuable because he has a far deeper purpose for fixing your faulty self-image-but it's because he has work for you to do. You might not realize this incredible fact about yourself: You are God's gift to the world. If that wasn't true, you'd just be taking u

How to Get There From Here Bible Reading: Psalm 119:57-64 I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your statutes. Psalm 119:59 IT'S HARD to have any sympathy for these oddballs: Girl genius Lotta Graymatter graduated from the university and entered law school at age twelve. After typing the formula into his computer, Naselmeister shut down the machine and began experimenting. His best medicine so far is a cough syrup that tastes so bad even lab rats won't take it. You can't become a lawyer if you don't read the textbooks and pass t

TKSST: Omo, a 9-month-old hippo calf at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Omo, a 9-month-old hippo calf at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo  “Our  little hippo calf, Omo , is 9 months old, and he’s outgrown the baby-proofing in his indoor training area! He’s nursing less and eating more solid foods, which are helping him grow up big and strong. He recently weighed in at 435 pounds. That may seem huge to us, but Omo is still just a baby. He lives full-time with his mom, Zambezi, and has been learning to communicate with his aunt, Kasai, and dad,  Biko , who live separately in the same habitat, by making little ‘chuffing’ noises. “Keepers have seen Omo’s personality continue to get bigger, along with the rest of him. They say he doesn’t just enter a room; he explodes into it.” Note: This comes directly from their website. Click here for more
